The vaccination certificate must be given to Lone Wolf for the duration of the stay when the booking commences. Vaccination against kennel cough (bordetella bronchiseptica or canine parainfluenza virus) is recommended, but not mandatory.

  2. Lone Wolf only accepts spayed/neutered dogs.

  3. The Emergency Contact must be aware of their role, duties and responsibilities and be available for the duration of the booking.

  4. The owner or Emergency Contact is responsible for payment of any veterinary fees incurred and the owner is responsible for reimbursing any costs incurred by Lone Wolf if any damage, other than reasonable wear and tear, is caused to the carer’s home or possessions by the dog/s

  5. Lone Wolf will make every effort to provide high standards of care but will not be held liable for loss, injury or death of any dog in its care unless negligence is shown. The owner agrees to let Lone Wolf know of any changes to their dog/s details before any stay.

  6. If your dog/s escapes from the premises (assuming no negligence is found on the part of Lone Wolf) any liability for the dog/s actions remains the responsibility of the owner.

  7. A trial session (Meet & Greet) is essential for any dogs that have not stayed at Lone Wolf before. This will be arranged at a mutually agreeable time for Lone Wolf & the owner.

  8. The owner gives permission for their dog/s to be boarded with resident animals and other boarding dogs.

  9. If, while the owner is away, Lone Wolf cannot continue to board the dog/s through problems with the dog/s sickness or behaviour, then Lone Wolf will endeavour to find another licenced carer if possible and advise the owner or Emergency contact accordingly. If Lone Wolf is unable to find another carer and the Emergency Contact is unable or unwilling to take the dog/s, then Lone Wolf will, in consultation with the Emergency Contact, find suitable kennels or veterinary accommodation for the dog/s. The owner will be responsible for the associated accommodation and transport costs.

  10. If the dog has shown aggression or bites during its board and the owner is not local to the area, the Emergency Contact will be asked to remove the dog. If the Emergency Contact cannot take the dog then the dog will be removed to a kennel. There will be no refund of boarding fees that have been paid and the owner will be responsible for all kennel fees.

  11. Lone Wolf will not board dogs that require a control collar of any kind.

  12. If the dog has not had the kennel cough vaccination and it needs to be removed to a kennel then the owner gives permission for the dog to have the vaccination at their cost.

  13. Lone Wolf are unable to accept dogs that have shown aggression towards other dogs and/or people or subject to the terms of the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991. No dogs registered under this act will be accepted for home boarding.

  14. Dog drop off & collection is available in the morning between 8am and 9am, or in the evening between 5pm and 6pm. To minimise disruption to our boarding dogs, we do not allow drop off or collection outside of these times. If the owner is delayed, this must be discussed with Lone Wolf at the earliest opportunity and drop off or collection will be moved to the next AM or PM timeslot. If this takes the booking into the next day, then the owner will be billed for this additional night's stay.

  15. The owner is responsible for supplying enough food for the duration of the dog/s stay, food and water bowls, beds, bedding, collar, vaccination record, lead/harness, grooming equipment. If insufficient food is supplied the owner is responsible for reimbursing the carer for costs incurred in the purchase of more food. It is not recommended to bring toys from home due the potential for damage by other boarding dogs. If toys are brought to Lone Wolf, responsibility is not taken for any damage incurred during the stay.

  16. All dogs staying with Lone Wolf must wear a collar with an identity tag showing the name and address of the owner (a telephone number is optional but advisable). This is a legal requirement. The dog will also wear a Lone Wolf identity tag on its collar during its stay.

  17. At Lone Wolf, we prioritise the safety and well-being of all dogs in our care. Therefore, we do not walk dogs off the lead under any circumstances. This policy is non-negotiable, and we do not provide a disclaimer form for customers to authorise off-leash activities. The garden is spacious and secure and in addition to their on-lead walks, dogs will have plenty of time off the lead to exercise and play within the garden.

  18. All equipment needed for their dog is provided by the owner, and it is their responsibility to ensure that it is of suitable quality and fit for purpose.

  19. Lone Wolf is not VAT registered, so Lone Wolf fees and charges do not include VAT.

  20. Payment for boarding services must be made in advance and in full in order to confirm the booking. Lone Wolf do not reserve dates. Full payment must be made in order to receive confirmation of a booking. A booking will only be regarded as confirmed when the full fee for the booking has been received and a signed Booking & Consent form has been received.

  21. Cancellations made more than 30 days from the start of the dog’s stay are eligible for a refund, less a 15% cancellation fee. Cancellations made less than 30 days from the start of the dog’s stay are non-refundable.

  22. The owner agrees if after 7 days of the booked return date the owner has not collected the dog/s and Lone Wolf has made every attempt to contact the owner or Emergency Contact without success then the dog/s would be put up for re-homing.

  23. If the owner collects the dog/s before the confirmed end date of the board they will not be entitled to a refund.

  24. During a dogs stay, in an emergency occurred (such as serious flooding or a house fire) and Lone Wolf is unable to proceed with the booking, Lone Wolf will contact the owner or emergency (proxy) contact if the owner is not available. Lone Wolf will utilise their emergency plan and may temporarily home the dog/s with their own nominated emergency carer if the proxy contact is unable to house the dog/s. Arrangements will then be made for the dog/s to stay in another licenced facility or licenced kennels. Lone Wolf would be responsible for these costs. Lone Wolf reserve the right to cancel the booking and refund the fee without any liability to Lone Wolf.

  25. The dog/s must be used to living in a home environment and must not exhibit territorial marking and be housetrained.

  26. Dogs with separation anxiety are not suitable for home boarding and are therefore not accepted.

  27. The owners agree to provide full, accurate and detailed information on the Booking Form about the dog/s. During the owners continued use of Lone Wolf the owner agrees to keep Lone Wolf informed of any changes to the dog/s Booking Form. Failure on the owner’s part to disclose any matter which in Lone Wolf’s view may render the dog/s unsuitable for home boarding with the carer, will amount to a breach of conditions and termination of the dog/s stay without refund.

  28. Any conditions requiring the administration of medicine to the dog/s must be fully disclosed to Lone Wolf on the booking form. Dosage rates etc. should be given to Lone Wolf in writing before their stay. Any changes in medication required must be communicated in a timely manner.

  29. Lone Wolf will attempt to contact the Emergency Contact or Owner in an emergency and if necessary the Emergency Contact is expected to make any decisions with regard to the dog/s. If the owner or Emergency Contact cannot be contacted, Lone Wolf reserves the right to act on the owner’s behalf, seeking and following advice from a veterinary surgeon.

  30. If the customer has a rescue dog, the dog must have been resident with the owner for a minimum of six months.

  31. All data collected by Lone Wolf will be dealt with in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018 and GDPR legislation to protect the personal information held on Lone Wolf customers.
